Andrew A. Michrowski’s PACE expert peer review evaluates the Aires fractal resonator’s effect on the functional state of red blood cells. The review is dated February 28, 2019; the experiment it assesses was supervised by Vladimir A. Tarlykov at ITMO in 2005.
The research reviewed
The original report studied ten blood samples from patients with multiple myeloma. Researchers examined erythrocyte osmotic response using laser diffractometry, comparing measurements before and after placement of a silicon fractal resonator adjacent to the samples. The report describes a positive trend in the measured rheological parameters. Read Tarlykov’s original 2005 report (PDF).
PACE’s assessment
Michrowski discusses the osmotic-fragility and laser-diffraction measurements, the time course of resonator exposure and the favorable trends reported by the researchers. He identifies the observed normalization of blood-sample behavior as a significant benefit of the technology and recommends extending the investigation to physiological monitoring in living subjects. Connect the evidence
This record links a cellular experiment with its later expert evaluation. The dates identify two stages in the evidence record: the 2005 experiment and its 2019 peer review. Original-study summary · Detailed PACE review summary · Vladimir Tarlykov’s profile · Andrew Michrowski’s profile.
