Gennadi N. Lukyanov’s work connects the mathematics of patterned semiconductor surfaces with experimental infrared imaging. His publications examine how surface geometry changes a wafer’s electromagnetic response, a central engineering question in the Aires research program.
The modeling sequence
Lukyanov collaborated with Alexander Kopyltsov and Igor Serov on semiconductor-surface research extending back to the 2000s. The 2016 distributed-computing paper, also coauthored by Konstantin Korshunov, models charge-carrier behavior, diffraction and reflection around a structured surface. Read the 2016 paper.
The Springer chapter first published online in 2022 examines a silicon wafer with coupled ring grooves. It reports a stable multifrequency field distribution in its model. Read the Springer publication · Original chapter PDF.
The 2026 physical experiment
Lukyanov and Sergei Makarov used a Testo 890 infrared camera to observe a patterned silicon wafer during periodic heating and cooling. The patterned center showed a distinct imaging response relative to the polished periphery. The authors interpret the contrast through infrared emissivity and their charge-carrier model.
The experiment adds a measured surface response to the earlier computational research. Published ICICT 2026 chapter · Original author manuscript (PDF) · Study summary and connections.
Connect the engineering to the biological program
These papers investigate the physical resonator. The EEG, autonomic, blood, chromosome and behavioral studies examine what changes in biological systems under their respective protocols. Following both tracks shows how the technology’s physical design and biological testing developed across decades.
