Background

Prof. Dr. Andrei Kopyltsov is a mathematician and computational physicist holding simultaneous appointments at three major St. Petersburg universities: State University of Aerospace Instrumentation (GUAP), Electrotechnical University (ETU), and Herzen State Pedagogical University. He is a Full Member of the International Physics And Control Society (IPACS) and serves on the editorial board of the journal Mathematical Structures and Modeling. At Herzen University, he heads the Department of Informatics.

His research expertise spans mathematical modeling of biological and physical processes, parallel and distributed computing (high-performance clusters), biomechanics, information processing, and quality assessment methodologies. He has over 150 publications covering mathematical methods in scientific research, analytical geometry, linear algebra, and telemedicine applications.

Contributions to Aires Research

Prof. Kopyltsov played a central computational role in the Aires research program, contributing to multiple published studies on electromagnetic field interaction with self-affine structured surfaces (the physical basis of the Aires resonator).

Distributed Computing of EMR Interaction (2016, peer-reviewed): Co-authored the peer-reviewed study on distributed computing analysis of electromagnetic radiation interaction with structured surfaces, confirming fractal self-similarity in field response. Published with Korshunov, Lukyanov, and Serov. Read study →

MEMS Simulations (2018–2020): Co-led computational reports for multiple Aires resonator models (C16S, C28S, C32S, C20S5G, 64P1S5G) covering 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and 5G frequencies. These reports established the quantitative EMF interaction profile for each product generation.

ITLMS 2018 Conference Paper: Co-author of the peer-reviewed "Investigation of the Circle Fractal Structure Interaction with Gigahertz Frequency Electromagnetic Waves" (ITELMS 2018, Lithuania). Read study →

Springer 2022 Publication: Co-author of the Springer LNNS paper "Computer Simulation of the Response of a Semiconductor Wafer with a Self-Affine Pattern to Electromagnetic Radiation" with Lukyanov and Serov. Read study →

Chromosome Aberrations Study (2018): Co-author of the peer-reviewed study on high-frequency EMR effects and resonator-converter influence on chromosome aberrations in Wistar rat bone marrow, published in Electromagnetic Waves and Electronic Systems. Read study →
