However, its most crucial function is how it deals with breast cancer. There is some evidence that a low level of melatonin in the body encourages the development of certain breast cancer cells. Now, scientists are focused on the question of what depletes the levels of melatonin. There are a number of things that affect the production of this hormone, including sleep, light, drugs, light, alcohol, caffeine, and even estrogen. Evidence has indicated that breast cancer cells that have reduced when treated with melatonin actually start growing again when exposed to EMFs. Evidence of the link between EMFs and breast cancer was presented at the first World Conference on Breast Cancer in Canada in 1997. A hundred epidemiological studies produced data demonstrating a link between EMF exposure and different types of cancers, including breast cancer. The studies show how EMFs reduce the tumor-suppressing abilities of melatonin and the sources of EMFs for the studies ranged from electric blankets, cell phone towers, and electrical trades people.
